The Yum Asia Sakura Rice Cooker is an extra-large 1.8 litre rice and multi-functional cooker which serves up to 8 portions of food at a time. It cooks rice using 7 innovative stages - Preheat, Absorb Water, Heating, Boiling, Steam, Cool Down and Keep Warm/Steam. This specific sequence of cooking stages ensures that rice is cooked with great taste, aroma and texture. When being used as a multi-cooker, it can cook porridge, casserole, soup, cake, crust (Tahdig), yoghurt, as well as steam and slow cook.

There are two scheduling functions available. There's a 24 hour timer, meaning you can prepare ingredients Thursday evening (for example) and come home to ready-to-eat rice after work on Friday. There's also a keep warm function which also works for up to 24 hours. We particularly like the inner bowl's design. It has 5 layers, 2mm of thickness, a non-stick coating and silk print water level lines. There are also easy to clean components, including the detachable bowl and the removable stainless steel lid.

• Stylish - The cooker has a stylish glossy body with a brushed silver lid. It's available in two colours - Black & Silver and White & Silver. Both are pictured above.
• Scheduling - There's an up to 24 hour delay timer and an up to 24 hour keep warm function. This means that you can prepare ingredients up to 24 hours in advance (useful for dinner parties), and serve hot food after leaving it for up to 24 hours. This gives a maximum of 48 hours if needed.
• Inner Bowl - The inner bowl has a ceramic coating and consists of 5 layers which give it a 2mm thickness. It has easy to read silk print water level lines, and also easy-lift handles.
• Accessories - The accessory kit includes an instruction manual, a quick start guide, a steam basket, a rice measuring cup, a rice spatula, a spatula holder and a soup ladle.
• LED Display - The modern ice-blue LED display is easy to read.
• Easy To Clean - The inner bowl has a non-stick ceramic coating for easy cleaning. We also like how the lid is made from stainless steel and how it detaches for cleaning.
